Dr. Camitta has over 25 years’ experience in healthcare. He graduated from Faculty of Medicine at Memorial University of Newfoundland, Canada. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and fellowship in Biomedical Informatics at University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Dr. Camitta holds board certifications in Internal Medicine from ABIM and Clinical Informatics from ABPM. He has received several aware including a post-doctoral scholar in Biomedical Informatics at NLM/NIH. Dr. Camitta’s professional interests include healthcare leadership and medical education, innovative care delivery model transformation, AI/ML predictive models in healthcare, health equity and social determinants of health to reduce disparities. He enjoys time with family and friends, backcountry hiking and outdoors exploration, travel, playing music and cooking.
