The Icahn School of Medicine Internal Medicine Program at Queens Hospital Center is exceptional. There is a strong sense of camaraderie and support among residents, which makes the challenging moments of residency much more manageable. Attendings, residents, and all staff are supportive of our growth towards becoming independent physicians. The diverse patient population exposes us to a wide range of pathologies, providing invaluable learning opportunities and preparing us for any scenario we might encounter in our future careers. The academic aspect of the program is excellent, with continuous improvements such as the addition of the pulmonary journal club, that keep us engaged and informed of the latest advances in medicine. Being a part of a community hospital, Queens Hospital Center offers a unique blend of personalized patient care and academic rigor. I highly recommend this program to anyone seeking a supportive, diverse, and enriching residency experience.
