Serving a diverse demographic of patients, Queens Hospital Center has definitely fulfilled my expectations of the type of residency program I was looking for — a program that first and foremost offers extensive clinical experience while promoting a level of autonomy that is unlikely to be met anywhere else. At the same time, it provides an approachable, supportive work environment and a high level of camaraderie among house staff.One year into my residency training, I have witnessed a profound growth in my clinical knowledge and judgment. I am on the right path to becoming an accomplished internist, ready, as many past graduates have, to go on to a competitive fellowship or hospitalist position.
