Natalia Calderon, M.D.

Dr. Calderon is the Chief of the Division of Hematology and Oncology at Queens Hospital Center. She trained in Internal Medicine at Bronx Lebanon Hospital Center and completed her fellowship in Hematology/Oncology at North Shore University Hospital. Board Certified in Hematology and Oncology, she leads a team of talented oncologists who are committed to decreasing health care disparities by providing advanced, quality cancer care to underserved populations.

Dr. Calderon’s primary interests include gynecologic malignancies, breast cancer and gastrointestinal malignancies, as well as improvements in palliative care throughout all stages of cancer treatment. She has participated in numerous research projects as a Principal Investigator of the Gynecology Oncology Group (GOG) as well as other projects facilitating access to clinical trials for minority populations. This participation lead to Queens Hospital Center receiving a grant from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) as a designated Minority-Based Community Clinical Oncology Program, one of only seventeen in the country.
