Dr. Brennessel received her Bachelor of Arts degree magna cum laude from New York University and her medical degree from the NYU School of Medicine. After completing her Internal Medicine residency at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, she completed an Infectious Disease fellowship at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
Dr. Brennessel has served NYC H+H/Queens in many roles, and is presently Associate Director of the Department of Medicine, the Director of the Department of Ambulatory Care and Program Director of the Internal Medicine Residency Training Program. Dr. Brennessel is certified in both Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases, and is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and the Infectious Diseases Society of America. Dr. Brennessel is a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and Adjunct Associate Professor at both the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine and St. George’s University School of Medicine.
Dr. Brennessel participates actively in medical student and resident teaching and in clinical research projects that have led to many publications and presentations.
Vincent Rizzo, MD, MBA, FACP, CPE

Dr. Rizzo is a graduate of the Honors Program at Saint John’s University; he went on to receive his M.D. from the Ross University School of Medicine and an executive MBA, with Distinction, from Hofstra University’s Frank Zarb School of Business. He completed his residency training here at NYC Health+Hospital Queens, where he served as Chief Medical Resident. Following completion of his training, he remained here as a member of the teaching faculty. He is presently Director of the Department of Medicine and of the Residency Training Program and is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mt. Sinai. His interests include quality improvement, medical education and clinical research.
Parampreet K Bakshi, M.D.

Dr. Parampreet Bakshi received her medical degree from Medical college Amritsar, India and completed her Internal Medicine residency at NYC H+H/Queens. She continued there as a chief resident, and then subsequently as an attending in the Department of Ambulatory Care Medicine. She is presently Associate Director of Department of Ambulatory Care and Internal Medicine Residency Training program. Dr. Bakshi is board certified in Internal Medicine and is a clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at Icahn School of Medicine. She is actively involved in teaching and quality improvement projects.
Adesh Ramdass, MD

Dr. Adesh Ramdass is a graduate from Stony Brook University and then went on to receive his M.D. from Medical University of the Americas and completed the Bioethics and Medical Humanities Program at Montefiore-Einstein College of Medicine. He completed his residency training here at NYC H+H/Queens , where he served as Chief Resident. Following his training, he practiced Hospital Medicine at one of the Northwell Hospitals; but returned to NYC H+H/Queens 1 year later. He is currently Associate Program Director of the Residency Training Program and Clerkship Director for the medical students. He serves as the Chair of Medical Ethics and Residency Wellness Champion.
