I chose Queens Hospital Center because of its pleasant and collegial atmosphere. Its location offers an exposure to avery diverse patient population, including different ethnic groups, cultures and languages. This translates into a rich learning opportunity, with residents seeing a wide range of clinical pathophysiology. The residents here feel like an extended family — exceptionally warm individuals and great team players. The entire faculty, including the hospitalists and the Program Director, are very approachable and encouraging, and maintain the collegial environment. QHC has not only provided me with an opportunity to teach medical students, but has prepared me for my subspecialty training in Nephrology. As Chief Resident, I feel very supported and respected here, and I am very happy with my decision to train at QHC.
